Scientists use animals in an arrogant desperate way. It makes me feel so embarrassed and upset about what these monstrous people are doing. At various testing facilities scientists are permitted to use an unknown number of rats, mice and birds without being held accountable for their cruelty. Many of the animals that are tested are inbred and farmed specifically for testing purposes. This is horrific, these hideous people bread these poor animals for testing. Animals and humans are completely different so the effects would be different too. In my oppinion testing s should only be done on humans not animals.
When experiments are performed on animals, many of them are not given any medication to relieve pain or suffering. In some cases the same animal can be "re-used" in several other experiments, will this not effect the poisons differently? they should not be mixing these experiments. If an animal has been tested for many various experiments it is often put down as other testing can interfere with current experiments. Many scientists believe animals with lower intelligence like mice or rats do not experience pain or suffering because they look conciousness. Product testing is usually perfumed on animals to measure the levels of skin irritating, toxicity and safety in different cosmetic products. Animals feel just as much pain as humans do, they just don't have a voice to tell you how much torcher and pain their going through.
Since primates are the closest mammal to humans, monkeys are used in testing for treatments for HIV, AIDS, and hepatitis. The use of primates in testing facilities is very controversial because their brains structural and functional features are very similar to humans, which increases the possibility that monkeys experience pain and suffering in ways similar to humans. Diseases that are artificially induced in animals in a laboratory are never identical to those that occur naturally in human beings. Animal species differ from one another biologically in many significant ways, it becomes even more unlikely that animal experiments will yield results that will be correctly interpreted and applied to the human condition in a meaningful way.
The results of animal experiments can be variable and easily manipulated. Experimenters rarely publish results of failed animal studies, other scientists and the public do not have ready access to information on the ineffectiveness of animal experimentation. Animal experiments and testings make me so irritated and aggravated i wish i could stop all cruel abuse. United States: 1.13 million animals used in experiments (excluding rats, mice, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and agricultural experiments), plus an estimated 100 million mice and rats, 76,001 subjected to pain without pain relief. Canada: 2.27 million animals used in experiments, 98,633 animals subjected to severe pain near, at, or above the pain tolerance threshold of unauthenticated conscious animals. United Kingdom: 3.6 million experiments on animals, 2.7 million without anaesthesia. Instead of testing on animals scientists should test on humans that are in prison for life that way test results will be more clear and accurately. Stand up for those who cant speak.
